Game Between The Lines

Yes, I mainly focus on 2D game assets such as scripts and systems for 2D games, or 2D artwork such as pixel art and vector art. This collection can be found on Itch.io and includes both free and paid assets.

While Game Between The Lines currently does not offer 3D game assets, I do intend to include 3D assets in the near future, such as 3D models, and scripts and systems meant for 3D games.

No, I don’t use Artificial Intelligence for the production of my games or assets. After all, why would I let an AI do the things I enjoy doing? I love coding and creating artwork for games. That is why I will keep doing those things myself. That being said, I do enjoy taking mundane processes and making those aspects of the game development journey easier. For instance, creating a tool that allows for easy file management or that cuts and animates sprites automatically with the click of a button. Some of these ideas made it into the 2D Character Creator asset I created for the Unity Game Engine.

Game Between The Lines offers both paid and free 2D game assets. The free game assets can mostly be found on Itch.io and include, but aren’t limited to pixel art characters, tilesets, and animated sprite sheets.

The most popular free game asset so far is my collection of 40 Top-Down Pixel Art Character Sprites.

Game assets can be found on this website, but the actual downloads and purchases are done on other platforms such as the Unity Asset Store and Itch.io. On this website, you can always find a direct link to the asset on the aforementioned platforms.

You may think of this website as an informational hub for every asset I create. I aim to grow the website with more assets and eventually also with information about the games I create, which will eventually launch on platforms such as Itch.io and Steam.
